NDCC Award Schedule
The following award criteria will be posted on the NDCC website and published in Newf News at the beginning of every calendar year:

On an annual basis, the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada will reward members for the following categories:

NDCC AWARD CRITERIA
NDCC AWARDS TABULATION
Annual awards will be based on CKC Official Results with the statistics being tabulated within a calendar year, and presented the following year.
The highest ranking Newfoundland whose primary owner is an NDCC member who meets the award criteria will receive the NDCC Hall of Fame award.
All of the Newfoundlands receiving these awards will be featured in Newf News:
NDCC Hall of Fame Show Newfoundland & Highest Ranking Opposite
NDCC Hall of Fame Show Puppy
Points awarded based on puppy group/show wins assessed numerical values.
Points schedule:
NDCC Hall of Fame Obedience Newfoundland
Score averaged from the top three qualifying legs earned in any regular CKC Obedience class
(a minimum of three qualifying scores to be averaged).
NDCC Hall of Fame Rally Newfoundland
Score averaged from the top three qualifying legs earned in any regular CKC Rally class (a minimum of three qualifying scores to be averaged).
NDCC Hall of Fame Sire
Numerical count of champions produced, with a minimum of two; with the addition of one working title earned per dog (maximum of 2 points per dog).
NDCC Hall of Fame Dam
Numerical count of champions produced, with a minimum of two; with the addition of one working title earned per dog (maximum of 2 points per dog).
NDCC Hall of Fame Working Dog
Number of working suffix CKC titles earned, with a minimum of two titles, and at least one to be earned in Water, Draft or Tracking. Must be a minimum of two disciplines. CGN titles not valid for counting. tie-breaker will be the greater number of different working disciplines.

SPOON AWARD
ULTIMATE NEWFOUNDLAND, ULTIMATE NEWFOUNDLAND EXCELLENT
AND ULTIMATE OBEDIENCE TRIAL CHAMPION NEWFOUNDLAND AWARD
Ultimate Newfoundland, Ultimate Newfoundland Excellent and Ultimate Obedience Trial Champion Newfoundland Awards will be rewarded upon application by the dog’s primary owner who must be an NDCC member in good standing for at least one year prior to earning the award; co-owners need not be NDCC members.
Proof of CKC titles must be included with the application and forwarded to the Trophies & Awards Chair. Photocopies will be accepted.
ULTIMATE NEWF (UN) REQUIREMENTS
ULTIMATE NEWF EXCELLENT (UNX) REQUIREMENTS
ULTIMATE OBEDIENCE TRIAL CHAMPION (OTCH) REQUIREMENTS
Once the application has been approved, the Trophies & Awards Chair will advise the NDCC Editor in a timely manner so that the dogs who achieve these designations can be featured in Newf News (one full page at no charge).

MEMBER CERTIFICATES OF RECOGNITION
A dog whose primary owner is an NDCC member in good standing will be acknowledged by the NDCC with a Certificate of Recognition in a timely manner for the following achievements:
In the event that one of the achievements listed above is unknown during the year but becomes evident as the CKC results are published, a certificate will be sent out as quickly as possible.

NDCC AWARD CRITERIA
- Awards will be presented annually to NDCC members only.
- Awards will be presented to the dog’s primary NDCC member owner. The primary member shall be determined by where the dog resides. NDCC member co-owners may purchase a duplicate award for a fee.
- The primary owner of the dog must have been a Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada member in good standing for at least one year prior to earning the award; co-owners need not be NDCC members.
NDCC AWARDS TABULATION

- Each recipient will be entitled to a half page at no cost. This half page will include a picture, dog details and a brief owner write-up.
- Award recipients will be given priority to purchase covers for the issue in which the awards are featured.
NDCC Hall of Fame Show Newfoundland & Highest Ranking Opposite
- Points awarded based on breed wins, Group Placements; and Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show wins at Canadian Kennel Club shows; assessed as all breed points.
- Award to be deemed “NDCC Hall of Fame Show Newfoundland” and the opposite sex to be deemed “NDCC Hall of Fame Show Dog” or “NDCC Hall of Fame Show Bitch” dependent on the status of the highest ranking member Newfoundland.
NDCC Hall of Fame Show Puppy
Points awarded based on puppy group/show wins assessed numerical values.
Points schedule:
- 50 points for Best Puppy in Show
- 10 points for Best Puppy in Group
- 3 points for Best Puppy in Specialty
NDCC Hall of Fame Obedience Newfoundland
Score averaged from the top three qualifying legs earned in any regular CKC Obedience class
(a minimum of three qualifying scores to be averaged).

SPOON AWARD
- Spoons are awarded to a Newfoundland that has achieved a CKC title in any official discipline.
- Applications must be made by the dog’s primary owner who must be an NDCC member in good standing for at least one year prior to earning the award; co-owners need not be NDCC members.
- This award must be applied for within one year of earning a title, and each dog will be entitled to one lifetime Spoon Award.
- Applications should be forwarded to the Trophies & Awards Chair and should include the following information: dog’s registered name, name and address of the owner/all co-owners and the date and location where the title was obtained.
ULTIMATE NEWFOUNDLAND, ULTIMATE NEWFOUNDLAND EXCELLENT
